# Sonic Gems

When users earn Sonic Points through MachFi, it helps determine MachFi's final share of the total Sonic Gems allocated to protocols. MachFi commits to distribute a portion of its Sonic Gems back to users based on the initial points leaderboard as well as early supporters of the protocol.

As a lending protocol native to Sonic, MachFi's Gem Score is 8x. MachFi qualifies for the Gem Score as follows:

| Weight Type     | Type    | Weight |
| --------------- | ------- | ------ |
| Category Weight | Lending | 4      |
| Sonic Native    | Native  | 2      |

**Gem Score = Category Weight x Sonic Native = 8**

**Final Score = Gem Score x (1 + Point Score)**

MachFi boasts one of the highest Gem Scores (ranging from 0.5 - 10), serving as a multiplier, as demonstrated above

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://machfi.gitbook.io/machfi-documentation/sonic-rewards-program/sonic-gems.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
